From the group that brought you Baroque to the Future, Bach to the Burg, and Timeless Impressions, join the FestivalChamber players for an unforgettable afternoon of chamber music masterpieces. Hear two selections from the orchestral ballet masterpieces, Debussy’s Prelude to Afternoon of a Faun and Stravinsky’s Pulcinella, rethought for woodwinds, strings, harp, and piano. The Lagniappe Trio (flute, harp, and viola) will also perform a dramatic narrative inspired by South American native music entitled “Submerged,” by Latin composer Miguel del Aguila. The program will also highlight the string family and will conclude with the joyful and energized Sextet for Woodwind Quintet and Piano by Francis Poulenc.
